Why do people chose to use alternative medicine?

I’m studying alternative medicine for sociology at school and asked myself why some people use alternative medicine when modern medicine was available. Even people with cancer, chose an alternative treatment instead of doctors are based. I’m just very unsure why. Thank you all! By the way, I’m not here to bag on you or tell you what you believe is false. I only look at a person with firsthand experience on the issue of a possible finding people said they use them, but they actually worked for you? Thank you for your responses.

I’m kind of skepticism when it comes to pain pills or pain, and I was wondering if anyone knew some remedies herbal coffee / that safely and effectively used for treatment and make symptoms every day, or instead may be pills / Chemikalien.Wie headaches, teeth whitening / mouthache, dry skin, oily skin, acne, redness, tanning accelerators, short or brittle nails, grease stains on clothes, hair / outage that lasts, the crispy skin on the heels nails, etc.

What makes you think alternative medicine is effective?

In fact, Western medicine can be risky. But alternative medicines are generally not guaranteed by a certain type of science. This does not mean that science does not study nature and plants in relation to human health. Aspirin has been in the bark of a tree species entdeckt.Aber with such concrete science backing western medicine and next to no science behind alternative medicine, why should I believe it ‘ effective?
