Try these, I’ve used them on my mare.

Have your vet do a blood panel, it should show deficiencies, if any.

I just had this conversation with my Equine specialst vet bf. She could need Vitamin B 6. Injectibles work faster than herbs. Ask your vet.

I hesitate to recommend herbal remedies that will “calm the spirit” so to speak. The problem with this category is that most herbs that can do this will relax the nervous system and this could have ill effects on the horse. The spleen of a horse is related to nurturing, the earth and mothers. This has a natural calming effect when you treat the spleen, without any side effects. There is a chinese herbal solution called Nourish Digestion that is sold on a website called For Love of the Horse. This solution is formulated to specifically work with the spleen’s ability to assimilate food into essential nutrients. The important part here is the spleen and the ‘nurturing’ that the solution provides. It is certainly worth a try. Keep in mind though, some horses are just naturally nervous and do not handle different, or stressful situations well. Good luck!

P.S. Even though I am employed at For Love of the Horse, please note that I do not make any commission or any monetary gain whatsoever by recommending any solutions. I solely am here to help horses in any way possible, in the best way possible. I know, from my own personal experience, that these solutions work if given correctly. I am not recommending solutions for monetary (or otherwise) gain whatsoever.
